Stanley Kubricks film's all had a hidden - or not so hidden - message to portray.
Eye's wide shut has caused much debate over the years and for many reasons.
We have in the film Tom Cruise - the most famous scientologist on earth, his now ex wife Nicole Kidman - Father to who was an esteemed psychiatrist - a field hated by Scientology, Kubrick's own daughter another famous Scientologist and more controversy surrounding Kubrick's death.
His death came very suddenly via a massive heart attack which was reported to have been visible in the sense that his heart was black and singed upon autopsy. His death also came during editing of the film during which he refused to delete a particular scene which again is reported to have been a human sacrifice at the main event in the film relating to what we refer to as the occult or Illuminate.
This scene was cut out of the film after his death by persons unknown.
The film has a blatant aspect to it in the fact it is clearly, audibly and visibly about this topic, but is also riddled with hidden and subliminal messages he wanted to portray - for those who have not seen it give it a watch and see the video link below for other details.
